Our Vision and Mission

The Volunteer Center of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff is the premiere resource for volunteer advancement in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff and Knollwood.

We strive to be the "leading light" in volunteer advancement -- maintaining the highest standards for community service, volunteer management and leadership in the Chicagoland area.

Our mission is to facilitate meaningful partnerships between volunteers and nonprofit organizations and social service agencies. We are dedicated to mobilizing people to volunteer and assisting agencies with effectively managing their volunteers.

The Volunteer Center of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff links volunteers willing to donate their time and talents with organizations that need their help. Our volunteers work with seniors, youth, the homeless, the disabled and more. Commitments are flexible and can be tailored to fit your availability.

Let us help you find the opportunity that matches your interests. We represent more than 80 social service and nonprofit agencies in Lake County, keeping a pulse on the many volunteer opportunities available at each site.

Whatever your interest . . . cleaning up the environment, tutoring, teaching adults to read, working in a soup kitchen, helping the homeless, providing administrative support, enabling disabled children and adults to participate in sports, or assisting in some other way. . . we can help you find the right fit.
